Joe, if you ever read this, wherever you are, in heaven, on earth, alive or dead, I just wanted you to know that I never stopped loving you or thinking about you.
I guess my prayers did not quite reach you... It seems like you're gone, I just don't want to accept it, 'cause in my heart it feels like you're still alive. And somehow I wish that you are and that you're happily married to a great woman and that Afghanistan did not kill you.
